Changes in how we run the fund
Each year, we review the management of the With-Profits Fund against the principles and
practices set out in the PPFM. If necessary, we make changes to it. In August 2006,
we made two changes to our PPFM. Both are clarifications, not changes in policy. The changes are:
- we've clarified that if there are large stock market falls we may reduce to zero the
proportion in higher-risk assets such as company shares
- we've clarified the use of assets that we hold outside the With-Profits Fund that help us to
ensure that we can meet guarantees on with-profits policies.
These clarifications can be found on page 38 and 44 respectively in the PPFM, which is available on our website.
